Diocese of Liwolo part of global family of Anglican communion of the Episcopal province of South Sudan, curved out of diocese of Kajo-keji as an area diocese on 15th January 2017 and fully inaugurated diocese on 9th April, 2019 on its first synod and the first Bishop was enthroned on 14th April 2019 in St Paul cathedral. The diocese of Liwolo is located in Western Kajo-keji, borders Morobo in East and greater Lainya in the north and Yumbe district, of Uganda at its south. The diocese has over 45, 000 baptized members and cover – square kilometres
We carry out our relief, development and advocacy work through more than 44 local churches distributed across 5 zones of Imvepi Refugee settlement camp, Parts of Bidibidi Refugee settlement in Bulomoni & Yangani, Korijo IDP camp & Pure in South Sudan and other communities self-settled along the border corridor in Kerwa sub-county, Yumbe district. These structures have placed us with a strong presence at the grass roots which places us close to the people and communities we seek to help and so best understand their needs. We also work closely with governments, interdenominational committees and the private sector where appropriate.
